Our magnificent sports center offers a wide range of sports activities to students and its staff.
It is also open all year round at specific hours for external clients.
This campus offers state-of-the-art practical learning areas for you to explore the art of hospitality and get hands-on experience with every function of a hotel and restaurant. The practical learning courses are highly visible, allowing students and visitors to see the learning process in action and be immersed in a five-star hospitality setting.
One of the most surprising features of the new campus extension is the absence of many walls. From the entrance, you can see from end to end, and the 2,600m-long ‘Verrière’ section (opening in September 2022) connects the old campus to the new campus. This wide-open space encourages students, faculty, and visitors to be open-minded and ‘think outside of the box’ in an environment where living, learning and having fun all blends together.
Auditorium: This multimedia auditorium has a seating capacity of 220, which can be increased to 300. Named after the school's founder, Jacques Tschumi, it is used for conferences, seminars, lectures and external events.
Aula: This event hall has a seating capacity of 270 to 500. It is used for graduation ceremonies, student events and gala dinners for external clients.
Classrooms: The Lausanne campus has more than 50 classrooms, all conveniently located in N building and wheelchair accessible.
Library (Information Center) : In addition to the hundreds of workstations on campus, the library can accommodate 250 students. It offers a collection of some 38,000 volumes and provides access to millions of digital documents: databases, ebooks, articles from academic journals, newspapers, etc. The library is a member of the SLSP network of 470 Swiss academic libraries, whose collections (over 30 million titles) are accessible to our students via a free interlibrary loan service.
Study Rooms & Areas: Rooms are available for study and meetings in N Building, and “Meet & Retreat” areas in M Building. Students also often work in the Food Court and Hall N outside of meal hours. The Study Rooms can be reserved using Outlook, for 4 hours maximum.
EHL is on a journey toward sustainability and our new campus aims to integrate sustainable living concepts throughout the campus experience. We aim for and maintain the highest standards possible for sustainability, starting with adhering to the stringent Minergie-P© energy consumption standards, which demand 80% self-sufficiency in energy use. This goal is ambitious but, thanks to renewable technology integrated throughout the campus, it’s becoming a reality.
