Biography
Nicolas brings a rich blend of international experience, operational excellence, and a deep passion for specialty coffee to his teaching at EHL. After beginning his hospitality journey in Alsace, France, and gaining diverse experience across Europe and North America, he joined EHL in 2015, where he quickly rose to the position of Senior Lecturer in Practical Arts.
His enthusiasm for coffee led him to co-develop coffee-related training programs at EHL, guiding students through the craft and science of coffee—from sourcing and roasting to extraction and service. He also mentors students in Coffee sensory training and competitions, including barista and cup tasting, and coffee-focused projects, sharing his expertise and fostering innovation. In recognition of his dedication, Nicolas earned the prestigious Coffee Diploma and became a certified Authorized SCA Trainer (AST). Beyond his academic role, he has actively contributed to campus life through multiple terms as President of the EHL Lausanne Staff Committee, demonstrating a strong commitment to staff representation and community well-being.
