During the Foundation Program: Certificate in English Essentials students will acquire the language and study skills needed in order to succeed in their academic studies. The course consists of general English lessons at a B2 level focused on the four main skills: reading,writing, listening, and speaking.

This program is designed for students preparing to enter hospitality or business studies who need to strengthen their academic English before starting their degree. It’s also well-suited for learners looking to build confidence in writing, speaking, reading, and listening so they can succeed in a demanding academic environment. Additionally, it is an excellent fit for international students who want to integrate more easily into an English-speaking campus and feel fully prepared for the expectations of higher education.

Students engage in a dynamic blend of one‑to‑one coaching sessions, hands‑on soft‑skills development, and immersive field trips that offer real‑world exposure to the hospitality industry. Fees

 

Tuition Fees: CHF 17,000

Includes:

  • Courses, teaching material, personal coaching, field trips and additional training
  • F&B CHF 2,000

Additional costs if required:

  • Accommodation: Approx. CHF 5,500 
  • Guardianship: CHF 1,000
  • Other: health insurance, administrative fees (ex: visa process), top-up amount for F&B card, and any other personal expenses.

 

Admissions Criteria

  • A Secondary Education Diploma

  • English language certificate: IELTS academic module, with a minimum score of 5.5, TOEFL with a minimum score of 3.5 (iBT), Cambridge C1 Advanced (min. Grade B2) or Duolingo score of 95.

  • 18 years old minimum at the start of the course (17 years old can be accepted on a case-by-case basis)
