Biographie

David Sprott est doyen Henry Y. Hwang et professeur de marketing à la Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Ito Graduate School of Management. Il enseigne également à l'Université de Saint-Gall en Suisse. Ses recherches portent sur la distribution, le branding, les stratégies d'influence et les politiques publiques en matière de marketing. Il est titulaire d'un doctorat en marketing de l'Université de Caroline du Sud, ainsi que d'une licence en commerce et d'un MBA de l'Université d'État de Kent. Avant de rejoindre la Drucker School, M. Sprott était professeur de marketing et doyen de la faculté de commerce de l'Université du Wyoming. À l'Université du Wyoming, il a impulsé une nouvelle vision stratégique axée sur l'expérience étudiante, la recherche universitaire de qualité et l'engagement économique de l'État. Auparavant, M. Sprott a enseigné à l'Université d'État de Washington pendant plus de vingt ans et a notamment occupé la chaire de marketing Boeing/Scott et Linda Carson. Il a reçu le prix d'excellence en recherche professorale de la Faculté de commerce de l'Université d'État de Washington (WSU). Les travaux de recherche de Sprott ont été publiés dans des revues scientifiques de premier plan, notamment le Journal of Applied Psychology, le Journal of Consumer Research, le Journal of Marketing, le Journal of Marketing Research et le Journal of Retailing. Il enseigne la gestion du commerce de détail, le leadership, la gestion de marque, le comportement du consommateur, la gestion des ventes et les méthodes de recherche aux niveaux licence, master et doctorat. Sprott est l'auteur et le co-auteur de nombreuses publications, et a notamment codirigé le Handbook of Research on Customer Engagement (Edward Elgar, 2019). Il est membre de plusieurs organisations de marketing et de consommation, dont l'American Marketing Association, l'Association for Consumer Research et la Society for Consumer Psychology.
