Short Bio

Before dedicating herself to teaching, Celia Omedas worked for international companies such as General Motors Spain and Bosch Spain, as a translator and interpreter in German and Spanish.


She then moved to Switzerland to study at the University of Lausanne, where she obtained a bachelor's degree in Modern French and applied linguistics. Celia Omedas has been teaching language and literature since 2011 at the gymnasium of Morges where she is also head of the Spanish section and creator and examiner of the cantonal maturity.


She then specialised in University teaching of Spanish for specific purposes and did a postgraduate course at the American George Mason University in collaboration with the University of Madrid.


Célia Omedas is also a member of the team of the 3 scientific conceptors for SEFRI based in Bern for all public schools in the canton of Vaud, Geneve and Fribourg. She also participates in various ongoing training courses such as the training in new technologies in teaching foreign languages , in 2019 at the Summer University of Santander, Spain, renowned for the quality and prestige of its teaching staff.


Celia has started working at EHL in 2019 and her goal is to continue training students and help them in the knowledge of both the Spanish language and the cultural aspects that are part of it.
