The current challenges faced by the hospitality sector have emphasized the need for efficient financial management and governance at corporate level and the requirement for talented professionals to develop their leadership and management skills to adaptive business models and market conditions.
The program includes 3 modules (6 courses) based on a combination of online and on-site courses.
Additional activities and events are organized in parallel to the delivery of the online module to enhance the student’s learning experience.
The introductory module enables students to learn and reflect on the significance and diversity of the financial management function within hospitality and service-based companies. It also provides students with the opportunity to build relations with each other in an online team building workshop.
The online module enables students to acquire/strengthen and apply technical skills in specific areas pertaining to investment appraisal, capital structure, real-estate and development finance.

Leadership & Management
Dr Achim Schmitt is a Full Professor at Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne and Associate Dean of Graduate Programs. He led the creation of three new Graduate Programs; the MSc Global Hospitality Business, the blended MBA in Hospitality, and the Hospitality EMBA. Dr Achim Schmitt holds a PhD from the University of Geneva, obtained his Habilitation at the University of Paris-Dauphine in France, and is a Visiting Professor at the University of Geneva as well as an Associate Researcher at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. Before joining the academic world, Dr Achim Schmitt was a strategy consultant for 4 years in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He has gained academic experience at Audencia Business School in Nantes (France), Columbia Business School (USA), HEC University of Geneva (Switzerland), Universidad de Los Andes in Bogota (Colombia) and China Europe International Business School (CEIBS, China).
Dr Masaki Mori
Valuation of Hotel Investments (VHI)
Dr. Masaki Mori has international educational and research experience in Real Estate Finance and Investment in Japan, U.S., Singapore, U.K., and Switzerland. Masaki Mori is constantly ranked as one of the world academic leaders in the area of Real Estate. Prior to joining Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne, Masaki Mori was manager at Nomura Asset Management, Associate Professor of Finance at International University of Japan, Assistant Professor at National University of Singapore, and Associate Professor of Real Estate Finance and Investment at University of Reading. He also served as Associate Dean of Graduate School of International Management of IUJ and Program Director of Master in Real Estate Finance at Reading. He has taught Real Estate and Finance courses such as Real Estate Finance and Mortgage Banking, Investment, Portfolio Management, Derivatives Markets, and Debt Securities Markets for undergraduate and graduate students as well as for business professionals. He was awarded University-level and School-level teaching excellence awards at NUS. He is the recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship.
Dr René-Ojas Woltering
Feasibility Analysis, Development and Negotiation (FAN)
René-Ojas Woltering, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Real Estate Finance at Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne. He holds a doctoral degree in Business Administration from the University of Regensburg. His research interests include real estate investment vehicles, investment strategies, and issues relevant to the hospitality industry. His publications have appeared in scholarly journals such as the Journal of Banking and Finance, Real Estate Economics, and the Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics. Dr. Woltering has gained valuable experience in the real asset management, investment management, and consulting industry. He is also awardee of several finance & investment competitions.

Foreign students will not need a Student Pass to attend the short course. A short term visit pass will be sufficient for countries eligible for visa on arrival. Students from other countries will need to apply for a visa beforehand. If temporary travel restrictions are in place at the time of the course, students will be able to postpone their participation to a later date.
Price: SGD 14’900
The price includes the tuition fee, access to learning material, reference book, lunches and coffee breaks, front office support for the duration of the course.
The price does not include travel and accommodation fees for on-site module.
The course fees, payment schedule and refund policy are detailed in the Student Contract. We remind students that their fees are secured through a Fee Protection Scheme. No tuition fees will be charged before the 7 days cooling period.

The assessment methods and evaluation structure are detailed on the course syllabus and communicated to the students by/on the first day of class.
All modules are required to be completed with a final grade of at least 4.0. EHL’s grading system goes from 1.0 (extremely insufficient or absent) to 6.0 (excellent). Grades are rounded to the nearest 0.1. Upon completion of the modules, a certificate will be awarded to the participant.
Students’ intellectual integrity and honesty are important for the preservation of trust among participants and EHL’s public reputation. Intellectual dishonesty will be treated with extreme severity. Any form of intellectual dishonesty is taken seriously and can lead to suspension or even expulsion from the program.
