Data we collect on EHL Websites
When you visit or browse EHL Websites, we do not collect any personally identifiable information. However, our sites do automatically recognize and collect certain non-personal information about your computer and connection, including the type of Internet browser you use, time spent on EHL Websites, the pages visited and the IP address of your internet service provider (ISP). We will only use the information described above to monitor and improve our Websites, ensure that we provide you with the proper information, and for security purposes.
B. Brochure & document downloads
Most of the brochures and other documents that are available for download on EHL Websites do not require you to create an account. However, some downloads will prompt you to fill in a form with the following basic information: first name, last name and email address.
C. Application & registration forms
To access the online application, apply for one of EHL’s programs, or request detailed information about certain courses, you may be asked to provide the following personal data: first and last name, email address, mailing address, phone numbers, program of interest and educational background. For some programs, you may also be asked to provide information about your current employer or employment history.
D. Online Services and Marketing Communications
Using EHL Websites enables you to access various online services, such as surveys and applications (Online Services), provided by EHL or through subcontractors. By downloading, accessing and/or using these Online Services, you expressly consent to the collection of personal data relevant to those services. EHL assumes the responsibility of ensuring that these third-party providers (if any) comply with data protection laws and regulations.

How we use the data collected
We keep a record of the personal information defined above to provide you with an excellent customer experience, including: providing an optimal experience and functionalities on the concerned EHL Website, and providing relevant information about programs, news and events related to your inquiry.
We do not sell, rent, lease or otherwise make available any personal information to third parties except as described above or with your consent. We reserve the right to disclose information to authorities when required to do so in connection with legal or regulatory proceedings. B. Application form/Participants
We will share your personal information with any third-party organizations and individuals delivering portions of EHL programs and services. This information is limited to your contact details (first and last name, email address, mailing address, phone numbers) for the sole purpose of delivering EHL programs and services.
If you complete an EHL program, your personal data will be shared with the EHL alumni department. More details are provided in the alumni website section below.

How EHL protects your data
At EHL, we take every precaution to protect your personal information, online and offline. Any personal information that you submit via EHL Websites is protected during transmission by an industry-standard high level of encryption TSL1.2. Our security certificate is available for you to consult online and you can learn more about this security from our security provider. The information you provide to us is stored on:
• Our Servers hosted in Switzerland on the EHL premises, controlled by EHL in a secure environment, in a locked facility, or in the European Economic Area (EEA) zone in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Servers owned and/or controlled by EHL for the purpose of processing data collected by third parties on behalf of EHL, or in the EEA zone in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
International Data Transfer
Upon successful completion of an EHL degree program you automatically become an alumnus, and your personal information will become available to fellow EHL alumni via the EHL alumni website platform. Such information will enable the EHL alumni department and the regional ‘stamms’ to inform you of alumni events (reunions, conferences, etc.). They will also enable the EHL alumni department to send you communications, surveys and information requests.
You can choose whether or not you want to be visible on the alumni website platform and in the alumni ‘stamms’. You can also choose which kinds of communication you want to receive.
The information displayed on the alumni website platform to connected users will include your first name, last name, programs and year(s) attended; as well as any additional information you have provided. You can, at any time, request full deletion of your data from the EHL alumni website.
Changing and updating personal information
You are responsible for the accuracy of all personal information you provide to EHL and for ensuring that this information remains accurate and up to date.
EHL will store information about you in accordance with data retention regulations. You can ask EHL to remove your information at any time. To access your personal information, get any information related to it, or have it modified, updated or deleted in whole or in part, please contact EHL at privacy(at)ehl.ch.
Upon request, your personal data, including your contact details shall be deleted from our marketing and alumni databases. However, data relating to your participation in or completion of a program at EHL will remain available to you (i.e. transcripts, references) and may be provided, with your prior consent, to individuals or organizations who seek to verify your academic records. All other data shall be made anonymous and aggregated for statistical purposes. Such data may also remain on our back-up systems but will be inaccessible to EHL staff or services for any business or operational purposes.
