Alain Berreux is a Senior Lecturer Practical Arts, he oversees the collective catering class at EHL since September 2017. Alain started his career with an apprenticeship as a hotel and restaurant manager assistant at the Grand Hôtel du Parc in Villars-sur-Ollon, Switzerland. He then studied at the Ecole Hôtelière de Genève earning a Higher Federal Professional Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. After graduating, Alain led an international career working in prestigious properties in New Zealand and Switzerland. He was the F&B manager, Sofitel Queenstown (NZ); Banquets Department, Beau-Rivage Palace in Lausanne (CH); F&B Director, Museum Hotel Wellington (NZ); Nightclub Manager (CH) and F&B Director, Hôtel Lavaux, Cully (CH). He left industry life to pursue teaching at EHL in 2013 where he strives to keep the courses up-to-date with industry standards and latest trends. He launched the allergens symbol system for all the F&B outlets in EHL.
