Darren Allard is a Lecturer Practical Arts teaching culinary arts courses at EHL. Originally from NYC, Darren's career as a professional chef has taken him from the USA to Switzerland, Italy, the Caribbean and the Middle East where his focus was set on the highest standards of the culinary world. He is very proud to be teaching these high standards at EHL. As a professional chef, Darren was constantly instructing and managing in the kitchen. When the opportunity arose in 2011, he gladly made the transition into teaching at university level at the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts in Jordan. Prior to this, he spent years managing large cooking events and giving cooking classes in Zürich, and he developed his expertise in restaurants that were well rated by the guide Gault et Millau. Constantly striving for perfection, his goal here at EHL is to fine tune teaching materials and transmit methods that are on the cutting edge of the culinary arts field.
