Dr Achim Schmitt

Dr Achim Schmitt est Professeur et Associate Dean of Graduate Programs à l'Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne. Il a dirigé la création de trois nouveaux programmes de niveau Master; le MSc Global Hospitality Business, le blended MBA in Hospitality,  et le Hospitality EMBA. Titulaire d'un doctorat de l'Université de Genève,  il a obtenu son habilitation à l'Université de Paris-Dauphine en France et exerce comme Professeur Invité à l'Université de Genève, ainsi que Chercheur Associé à l'Université de Saint-Gall en Suisse. Avant de rejoindre le monde universitaire, Dr Achim Schmitt était consultant en stratégie pendant 4 ans en Allemagne, Autriche et Suisse. Il a acquis une expérience de l'enseignement à l'Audencia Business School à Nantes (France), la Columbia Business School (États-Unis), HEC Genève (Suisse), l'Université des Andes à Bogota (Colombie), et la China Europe International Business School (CEIBS, Chine).
Dr Achim Schmitt mène des recherches en théorie organisationnelle et gestion stratégique, portant un intérêt particulier à l'ambidextrie organisationnelle, au déclin organisationnel, aux redressements d'entreprises et au renouvellement stratégique. Ses articles et études ont été publiés dans diverses revues, dont l'International Journal of Management Research, le Journal of Management Studies, Long Range Planning et Management Learning. Il siège actuellement au comité scientifique de l'Association internationale de management stratégique (France) et au comité de rédaction de Long Range Planning.
