The second edition of the I-CHLAR, “International Conference on Hospitality & Leisure Applied Research”, will be held on 16th & 17th July 2009 in The Hague Hotel School, the co-organizer for this edition.

Gastronomia presents a great variety of restaurant and hotel equipment, design innovations, interior accessories, food and beverage topics and many other. The leaders and specialists meet in Lausanne to debate about the trends in the sector, discover the innovations and, of course, create new professional relationships. The exhibition is held every two years and attracts over 45’000 visitors and about 500 participants.

Investors tend to keep objects longer
Munich (October 10, 2008). The financial crisis is getting private equity companies into trouble. Their concept of selling off (hotel) companies bought and restructured within a relatively short period of time and make a profit no longer works.
At the same time, the restrictive financial policy these days makes new takeovers more difficult. In a panel discussion at the "Hospitality Industry Dialogue" in the course of the Expo Real Munich real estate trade fair, the industry definitely refused to give in.

At the recent Global Spa Summit held at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City from 18-20 May, four EHL students had the opportunity to learn first-hand just how important this segment of the industry has become and how it will continue to grow.
