Master requirements and application
The Master’s programme will interest you if you already have a Bachelor’s degree and 2 years’ work experience. The MHA is for career changers who wish to move into hospitality, or for career climbers already in the field who wish to fast-track their careers. It builds on your previous experience to develop a new combination of unique, marketable skills.

Selection ProcessA career in the international hospitality industry is not necessarily the best choice for everyone. Whether you are already working or in the sector, or whether you are in another field and would like to switch to hospitality, you need a special kind of personality and a wide range of talents and competencies. When selecting applicants for acceptance to the Master’s programme, we look for candidates with the intellectual capacity to cope with the academic demands of a challenging programme and the motivation and potential to succeed in a complex and dynamic industry. In addition to your academic qualifications, you will need to demonstrate a mix of the artistic and scientific skills that are essential for hospitality management. You should be able to show that you are both creative and business focused. Most important of all is a strong customer-service orientation. EHL has developed a checklist of talents that we look for among our candidates. We invite you to review the list to see whether it reflects own personality and ambitions. However, because the industry is so diverse, and our Master’s students come from so many different backgrounds, there is no “ideal profile”. We hope that you will surprise us by your individual combination of talent, experience, and motivation. Selection is competitive and is based both on an evaluation of your application file and a one-on-one interview. |
