Programme overview for the Master programme
The curriculum is designed to develop participants’ analytical, managerial and strategic skills for rapid progression to the highest levels of hospitality management or for an entrepreneurial business concept.
The first term focuses on operations management, with modules on the mixture of art and science needed to build a memorable hospitality experience. The second term focuses on strategy, providing insight into the business and corporate world and helping students to develop an innovative, entrepreneurial approach.
| Term I |
Module 1: The art of hospitality
The MHA programme begins in a very different way from other Master’s programmes. The first module will allow you to experience the European hospitality tradition and to discover service excellence from the inside. It is designed to be as relevant to those with experience as it is to those without. |
Module 2: The science of managementThis module will help you to understand and analyze the financial performance of an operation: budgeting, cash flow and cost allocation. You will learn to evaluate assets and to place a quantitative value on change, or the value of an idea. You will also learn to prepare and edit financial data. This will allow you to make informed decisions and to justify a project to investors. |
| Term II |
Module 1: Strategy and corporate visionThis module provides an understanding of the hard reality of the corporate world, and the way in which you can shape the tools you have acquired to create value both for yourself and the company you work for. |
Module 2: Innovation and leadershipYour final module consolidates all these different aspects as part of a Master Business Project carried out in the field, which will give you rigorous real-world experience in planning innovating, leading and persuading. |
