Scott Woroch Executive Vice President, Worldwide Development, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts As Executive Vice President, Worldwide Development, of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Scott Woroch is responsible for the company’s global expansion. And with over 30 new properties currently in the pipeline, his mission to identify quality destinations, sites and third-party partners is only set to intensify. “The company is at an exciting point in its development,” Woroch explains. “With 74 properties in 31 countries, there is a tremendous opportunity to continue to flourish in new markets and develop the global reach of the brand.” |
Woroch oversees the strategic growth and development of the company’s international portfolio from grass roots upwards. “I love being involved in the creative aspect in its infancy,” he says. “It is very rewarding to take an empty field, or forge the preliminary relationship with a new equity partner, and develop it into something which will go on to have a big impact – a new resort, an exceptional guest experience…or even to create a destination.”
Woroch also sits on Four Seasons eight member Management Committee, a position which sees him heavily involved in determining the overall strategic direction of the company.
Woroch joined Four Seasons in 2000 as Vice President Business Development, Asia Pacific, having already spent 10 years in hotel development, representing both hotel companies and real estate owners. Prior to entering the hospitality industry, he had a successful career practicing real estate law in Washington D.C. “I have always enjoyed engaging with people on a personal level,” he says of his work history. “Now that I deal with global destinations, I encounter a wide range of people and cultures on a daily basis. Establishing good relationships across such a diversity of cultures is definitely one of the most interesting and rewarding aspects of my job.”
Woroch relocated to Toronto from Singapore in August 2007 with his wife Marian and their three children. He has an A.B., cum laude, from Cornell University, majoring in Political Science and a Law degree from the George Washington University National Law Center. When not travelling, he enjoys participating in competitive sports, especially soccer and tennis and is also a keen skier and runner.
