6. Internships: learn what you know!
A first step on the career ladder
Internships at EHL help give a flying start to your career. Future employers know that EHL graduates already have extensive on-the-job learning experience in both operations and administration. They do not have to be taught how to work in teams and to deal with unexpected crises.
Full-time work and responsibility
Internships at EHL are an integral part of the programmes - not just a “practical component” tacked on as a part-time or summer job. They are a full-time period of real professional experience and are planned to be taken at a specific point in your studies – a point which allows you to be well prepared, with training that is useful to future employers and enables you to move rapidly to a position of responsibility.
A different kind of learning experience
Internships are knowledge in action. They ensure that there is a constant interaction between the skills and knowledge learned at the school and the practical challenges which require “people skills” and the ability to apply knowledge under stress. When you return to the school afterwards, academic courses will be intertwined with real-life insights.
The world at your feet!
Internships may be taken anywhere in the world: Canada, Australia, Japan, Mauritius, Hungary, Malta, Singapore - or Cancun, Bali, Dubai… Most students say that their internships are one of the high points of their time at EHL.
