IHIF Advisory Board meeting
For the 5th year in a row, EHL hosted the International Hotel Investment Forum (IHIF) advisory board meeting. The school's long history with the biggest hotel investment conference in Europe, held annually in Berlin, has gone from strength to strength.
Not only is it a pleasure to host 55 of the hotel industry's financial leaders, but they generously take the time to come to campus early and participate in student sessions and a larger panel discussion.
There was a full house in the Tschumi auditorium to hear Michael Hirst, OBE, of CB Richard Ellis, Ufi Ibrahim from WTTC, Michael O'Hare from Horwath Hungary & Russia and Jan Hazleton of Hilton Hotels discuss their thoughts regarding how the industry will develop and key opportunities and threats for the future.
Jim Burba from Burba Hotel Networks (BHN), as is always the case, moderated the panel and kept the panellists on their toes - as well as the student audience!
The school looks forward to attending the next IHIF event on March 9-11, 2009.
