Concept of the Bachelor programme
The four-year Bachelor programme will provide you with the advanced knowledge and competencies which will enable you to be successful in the business world.
You will also learn from the inside about the highly complex and specialized world of hospitality. At the same time, you will develop the creative, artistic and people skills which are essential for a hospitality career. All academic study is interwoven with industry experience, both in operational jobs on campus and during two in-company internships.
Art and science
The curriculum has been developed according to the unique mixture of art and science which is EHL’s trademark educational philosophy. You will combine business and strategy courses with hands-on practical work, projects and special events designed to develop your creative skills and your ability to innovate.
An integrated approach
Our approach is integrated, taking into account the increasingly interrelated nature of the tasks that make up a hospitality enterprise.
During your second year, for example, your courses will be grouped into cross-disciplinary modules which will allow you to see how all areas in a hospitality enterprise impact on each other. Your final year will focus on projects which bring into play the full range of complex knowledge and skills that make up hospitality management: event management, consultancy projects, applied research.
A competency-based curriculum
The Bachelor programme conforms to the directives of the Bologna Agreement in providing you with the specific competencies you will need in the work place. Competencies involve not only specific technical or business knowledge, but also the wisdom and judgment acquired by weighing options and using knowledge in action.
