Professional experience for the Diploma programme
Candidates applying to the Diploma need to have a minumum of one year's work experience in the hospitality industry.
Apprenticeship programmes
If you have already completed an apprenticeship programme in hotel studies (Swiss CFC or equivalent), you will need at least one year’s experience, with two years recommended. If your apprenticeship was in an area other than hotel studies, you will need a minimum of two years’ experience, with at least one of those years in the hospitality industry.
Maturité level
Candidates who have reached the level of final-year secondary academic studies (academic or professional maturité) need a minimum of one year’s professional experience in hospitality. We also welcome candidates with other qualifications (post secondary qualifications), or “career changers” . These candidates will need to complete a minimum of one year’s professional experience.
