Ines Ghorbal-Blal, EHL professor and researcher, wins the Outstanding Doctoral Research Award

Last month, during the 15th Annual Graduate Research Conference in Hospitality and Tourism, Ines Ghorbal-Blal won the 2009 Outstanding Doctoral Research Award in the Hospitality Management category. The prize was awarded jointly by the Emerald Publishing Group and the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD).
Review of the 2nd EuroCHRIE Swiss Event - Hospitality researchers at “César Ritz”

Following the first research workshop held earlier this year at the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL), EuroCHRIE and “César Ritz” Colleges invited faculty members from Swiss hotel schools to a workshop for new and aspiring researchers at the University Centre “César Ritz” in Brig (UCCR), with the aim to inform about the benefits of research in hospitality and tourism.

The session started with welcomes from both the VP of Eurochrie, Hervé Fournier, and the Swiss Board member, Hilary Murphy (Professor at EHL).

Best Paper award for Dr Hilary Murphy at EUROCHRIE

Dr Hilary Murphy has won the Best Paper Award in the Technology category at the Eurochrie conference 2008 in Dubai, for her paper co-written with Prof. Harry de Jongh (Hotelschool The Hague) entitled “Student perceptions of IT/IS subject learning in hospitality management degree programmes – a comparative study of “deep learning".
