Green campus
As a responsible organization, EHL voluntarily adopted an ecological policy for its infrastructures more than ten years ago: solar panels, biogas and wind-mills have become part of the scenery at the school.
The subject is also taught to the students as part of their programmes of study. Students learn the practical aspects of ecological choices including their cost, discovering for instance that while environmentally sound policies can be expensive at the outset, they can result in savings in many areas such as the treatment of waste streams or energy conservation.
The School is one of the stops of the “sustainable development visits” organized by the Lausanne Tourisme & Convention Bureau for groups, enterprises and journalists.
