Graduation Ceremony - Diploma in Hotel Management programme
Lausanne, 15 February 2012 – The graduation ceremony for the Diploma in Hotel Management programme was held at the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne on February 8th, 2012. Paul Dubrule, co-founder of the Accor group, was present at this occasion and congratulated students for their commitment to the hospitality industry.
28 students from the French and English sections received their diploma after finishing their second internship. Numerous academic and honorary awards were presented during the Gala Dinner, including:
- Best student: Rebecca Knäuper, English section. Awarded by the Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat and hotelleriesuisse
- Second best student: Florence Donzelot, English section. Awarded by the Beau-Rivage Palace and Crédit Suisse
- Third best student: Victor Nordlind, English section. Awarded by the Office du Tourisme du Canton de Vaud
- EHL Spirit Award: Falko Piguet, French section. Awarded by Parmigiani Fleurier and the EHL Alumni Network
- Best project: Tobias Weidmann, English section. Awarded by the Hôtel Les Aiglons*** Resort & Spa et Caran d’Ache
The 2-year Diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Management is for working professionals with some hospitality experience. The course is designed to help participants prepare their own creative business project, or help them to develop an innovative approach in their career in hotel management.
