In its constant quest for excellence, EHL’s aim is to increase its global leadership in high-level management for the hospitality industry. In order to do so, it exploits the synergies between the professional and academic approaches and thereby ensures exceptional professional opportunities for its students.

Students come to EHL from all over the world. They have talent; they are the future leaders of tomorrow who will stimulate economic growth in their professional domain.




Master Programme graduation ceremony 2010

The latest promotion for the Master Programme was rewarded on Thursday 26 August at EHL. 30 students have graduated.




EHL students represent their school at the Bangkok Sister City Youth Programme 2010

Two students from the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne were given the opportunity to represent their school and the City of Lausanne during the Bangkok Sister City Youth Programme 2010 (BSCYP), organized by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA).

The Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne creates the First Food & Beverage Chair to help operators in the Foodservice business face new challenges

The Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) creates the first F&B Chair with the support of three key players in the food industry to better understand the Foodservice market and assist them with some of the new challenges they face.
Nestlé Professional, Danone Professional and Unilever Foodsolutions who share an interest in promoting sustainable development and bringing healthy food products to the market have committed to supporting an important research project which is to be carried out by EHL over the next 3 years. EHL is to collect data on these topics on a broad scale to observe the evolution of the F&B sector and help anticipate future trends in the restaurant business.

Kimberly Goins (a student in EHL’s Master programme) and David Setzermann (a student in the Diploma in Hotel and Restaurant management programme) are the winners of this year’s Evian Prize for Young Talent.




New General Director at the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne

On 4 June 2010, Ruud J. Reuland, the departing Director of the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL), passed on the torch to Michel Rochat, the former General Director of Higher Education for the Canton of Vaud. After eight years spent at the helm of EHL, Ruud J. Reuland is leaving the School and hopes to take a few weeks of sabbatical leave to be spent with his family before becoming involved with new projects and challenges. Michel Rochat is looking forward to taking over the reins of the oldest hotel school and reinforcing its position of leadership on an international level.




Graduation Ceremony for 197 students in the Bachelor programme

There was a huge crowd at EHL last 21 May to celebrate the success of the 197 students who were graduating from the School’s Bachelor programme - a record number of students for a graduating class!

On May 20, Stéphane Raimbault was invited by the student committee Like Eat for a special culinary event in the School’s gastronomic restaurant.
