Capstone mandates and business challenges
The Capstone Project
Working in small groups of 3-4 students, the Capstone Project is one of the most challenging elements of the EMBA. The assignment should allow students to demonstrate their ability to manage a business project, analyze and solve problems closely related to EMBA course topics, as well as to function and work as a team. EHL faculty members work with student teams to design and complete projects, bringing world-class academic knowledge to bear on important business problems. Past projects include feasibility studies, hotel valuation, entrepreneurial plans, competitive audits, market research, business development projects and more.
Alongside the long-term Capstone Project, the program offers students opportunities to act as academic consultants to CEOs who are seeking ideas and “out of the box” thinking toward complex business challenges faced by their companies today. These typically follow a 3 week cycle, offering companies new innovative ideas in a short amount of time.
