Designed for young professionals with a university degree and an interest in entering the Food & Beverage industry, EHL’s Master Class in Culinary Arts is a 6-month certificate program on the advanced aspects of culinary art applied to international cuisine, fine dining, bistronomy, bakery and pastry. Modules emphasizing food and beverage management— including banqueting, events, mixology, oenology, and entrepreneurship, provide a foundation in the methods and practices required to succeed in this dynamic industry.
A limit of 20 students per class allows for personalized coaching from the program faculty team, composed of world-recognized Chefs, including many Meilleurs Ouvriers de France (MOF), winners of international gastronomy competitions and Michelin-starred restaurant Chefs. They use modern teaching technologies and practices, combining an individualized approach with a cross-disciplinary outlook. Guest Chefs and sommeliers and a Michelin three-star restaurant complete students’ exposure to the best talents in culinary arts.
Program participants have the opportunity to operate EHL’s Gault et Millau-rated gastronomic restaurant, the Berceau des Sens. With over 1,000 hours of instruction, the cursus includes various themed field trips and an optional 6-month paid practical internship in Switzerland or abroad. Students can choose between two areas of specialization: Entrepreneurship or Food & Beverage Specialist.
