Congratulations to Chef Franck Giovannini of the famed Hôtel de Ville in Crissier, who has been named Chef of the Year 2018 by the Swiss edition of the respected French restaurant guide Gault Millau.

This year’s winner personally welcomes a group of EHL AP students to the restaurant on a weekly basis for a unique learning experience. The acclaimed chef shares his insights, showing the students how to create a 3* Michelin customer experience and discover all the preparation that goes into such an establishment. This includes preparation of the kitchen, products, menu, tableware, bakery and wine. They also get the opportunity to meet with the head sommelier and the service teams.

It is an immersive exposure to one of the best establishments in the world, with Switzerland’s top chef.

The Swiss chef won the prize for his cooking at the world-renowned restaurant near Lausanne, which has 19 out of 20 in the Gault Millau guide and three Michelin stars.
