After 9 weeks of intense work, EHL's Student Business Project (SBP) team is proud to announce that the 50 student groups have successfully completed this important step in obtaining their diploma.

The summer 2016 session was composed of 21 French section groups and 29 English section groups and the mandates given by the companies were varied as well as diverse. To give some examples:

  • Coca-Cola HBC Schweiz AG asked the students to “Provide an analysis of customer purchasing and consumer consumption behaviour towards drinking water in gastronomic restaurants and 4-5* hotels in Switzerland, and to accordingly draw strategic recommendations for Valser as a premium brand”.
  • Fondation Polyval asked the students to “Develop a restaurant concept in Vevey for the employees of the foundation who are handicapped, allowing them to be integrated in various professions in catering also open to a larger audience”.
  • AVIA gave the students the mission to “Define the target market of AVIA gas stations and find a realistic, competitive and profitable food and beverage concept applicable to all the Swiss AVIA gas stations”.

SBP work allows all of our students the possibility to experience real professional life with real life problems giving a great learning experience to all parties concerned.

During the closing ceremony of the 24th of June, the work of four SBP groups has been recognized and rewarded with our “SBP awards”, three offered by our sponsor IRIS for creativity, excellence and consulting efficiency, and one offered by EHL's Learning Department for research and analytical skills. The winning groups worked on projects for the Commune de Penthalaz, Realstone Holding SA, LunaJets SA and Urban Lifestyle Hotels.
