René Roger began his professional career as a sommelier in some of the most prestigious hotels and restaurants in Europe.
To date, he maintains close contact with industry professionals and has many consulting mandates. He acts as speaker at major events in the wine industry, workshop facilitator in hotels and restaurants, and investment adviser for wine stock in restaurants and menu development. He also works as a consultant to wineries.
At EHL, René Roger is involved in many activities promoting the knowledge and appreciation of wine. He organizes visits on campus by wine and wine growing professionals, and works as a professor representing EHL for the Executive Master’s Program at the University of Washington State.
