Michael Lynn, Ph.D. is a Professor of Consumer Behavior and Marketing at the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration. Michael’s research focuses on service gratuities (tipping), consumer status and uniqueness seeking. Michael’s research has been published in diverse outlets including Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Service Management, and Cornell Hospitality Quarterly. Michael received the 2004 W. Bradford Wiley Memorial Best Research Paper of the Year Award from the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education.
