Fabien Guimtrandy began his career in 1991 as an auditor and internal controller in real estate and then the textile sector.
Employed by Hermès in 1994, Fabien left Paris for Lyons. As Finance and Supply Chain Manager, he helped to structure the silk branch.
In 1999, Fabien Guimtrandy joined Richemont as Deputy Finance Director of Cartier Joaillerie. His main responsibility at that time was to restructure a team and the financial processes following the implementation of an ERP. Having been asked to join the group’s watchmaking branch in Neuchâtel, he became involved in the group’s investment and industrial organizational processes. His main achievements include the acquisition and creation of new strategic businesses with entrepreneurs, from "blank page" to acquisition by the group and the restructuring of the strategy and the Cartier watchmaking factories between 2003 and 2005.
At the end of 2005, Fabien Guimtrandy was recruited by Girard-Perregaux in Chaux-de-Fonds to support the structuring of this family group, now led by PPR.
Back in Geneva in 2007, temporarily rejoining an entry-price jewelry production leader as Group Controlling Director, he was invited by an investment fund at the end of 2008 to join a green and renewable energies (wood chips – power plants) group that was being set up, as CFO in an extremely tough economic situation.
Mr Guimtrandy, CFO of Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne since March 2012, is tasked with establishing the management instruments needed to implement the institution’s strategy and helping to lay the solid foundations for its growth and development. He speaks English and French fluently.
