Peng Liu, Ph.D. is Associate Professor of Real Estate and Finance at the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration. Peng’s current research focuses on the interaction between financial innovations and real economy, with a specific interest in real estate finance and investment, securitization, commodity pricing, and market analysis and operational research in retail, airline, hospitality, and recreational industries. Peng’s research has been published in diverse outlets including Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, Journal of Real Estate Research, and Cornell Hospitality Quarterly. Peng has won notable research awards including the 2013 Industry Relevance Research Award (Cornell University, Center for Hospitality Research), and the 2012 Best Paper Award at the American Real Estate Society Annual Meeting Best Paper Competition.
