Our students put their creativity and their hospitality expertise to good use by organizing parties and unforgettable outings.

The academic year at EHL is punctuated by various student events, from low-key get-togethers on week nights to a large-scale gala with more than 1,000 guests

Fête Finale
The eagerly-awaited Fête Finale attracts 650 guests for a formal dinner and 1,400 for the after-dinner party. It is run by our students and presents an enormous challenge for the organizing committee, which is responsible for budgeting, fund-raising, finding sponsors, managing profits, understanding and complying with legal requirements, communication, allocating tasks, motivating teams, empowering its fellow students and setting up prevention measures. It's a real events-management course in itself.

Thursday Night Club
The Fête Finale committee organizes weekly fund-raising events in various places in Lausanne. Why not ask our students about them?

Fête Universelle
This event pays tribute to EHL's cultural diversity. Every year, 20 of the School's 90 nationalities are celebrated at the Fête Universelle, which features culinary specialties, unusual drinks and amazing shows. This is one tradition that you can't afford to miss.
Culinary Challenge
Every year, students are given an opportunity to show off their cooking skills in the fun and friendly Culinary Challenge. The competitors (including current and former students as well as faculty members) are divided into two teams and invited to put together a menu using a set list of ingredients. The judging panel is composed of the 70 guests at the Berceau des Sens restaurant, who sample the dishes prepared by both teams - without knowing who made what. At the end of each course, they vote for the most creative, the most appetizing and the best presented dishes. After the meal, the winning team is announced and celebrated as it deserves.
