To complete the newly appointed Deanship Committee, we are currently recruiting an:

Main responsibilities:

  • Assists the Executive Dean (ED) with the management of administrative activities in the areas of research, faculty development and innovation in learning.
  • Provides leadership in the faculty-related matters that ensures that the education in the institution is progressive and supports the activities of research and teaching.
  • Is responsible for all aspects of faculty performance (promotion, evaluation & development). Develops short and long range learning and research initiatives within resources available.
    Promotes research links and engagement within the Faculty and with external organizations.
  • Ensures alignment/compliance with external standards and accreditation agencies/ bodies. Ensures alignment with internal standards.
  • Provides leadership in the development and promotion of experimentation and/or innovative thinking in teaching and research.
    Develops, disseminates and promotes exceptional teaching practice across the Faculty.
  • Encourages the development of interdisciplinary/ applied research and enhance the research environment in alignment with the strategic direction of EHL.
  • Leads the activities of the promotion and dissemination of educational content. Leads the coordination with marketing and communication for the promotion and outreach of research and teaching activities.

Conditions:

  • The Associate Dean of Innovation, Learning & Research must teach at least one course of the programs offered in the institution.
  • The managerial responsibilities correspond to a 50% of employment level.

Required qualifications min.:

  • A record of scholarship and teaching to warrant the rank of Associate or Full professor. a discipline taught within EHL
  • Proven experience in developing, implementing and assessing initiatives in the areas of faculty development and creative teaching practices.
  • Competence in the area of enhancing teaching effectiveness with online learning management systems and innovative tools.
  • Ability to engage faculty across disciplines (management and hospitality practical arts) and other institutions by establishing strong, collaborative relationships.
  • Proven experience in working collaboratively with faculty to build a community around teaching, learning, pedagogical innovation and research.
  • Experience-based understanding of research/scholarship across disciplines, including program management requirements and development needs.
  • Skill in strategic planning, managing resources, and establishing priorities.
  • Advanced communication, presentation, data-analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English. Fluency in French is a value-added.
